El dub evolucionó cuando se cruzó en el camino de Neil Fraser. Su pasión por los sonidos electrónicos -que había generado su chapa de Mad Professor-
lo llevó a coleccionar muchos aparatos de audio, samplers, reverbs,
echo devices y a descubrir la música que podía crear con estas
herramientas. Así, ya alejado de su Guyana natal y establecido en
Londres, empezó con un estudio de grabación desde su comedor, al que
llamó Ariwa.
Así comenzó la historia de Mad
Professor, ídolo del dub y de la segunda generación del reggae. Ha
remezclado a infinidad de artistas y todas sus producciones tienen ese
toque en los arreglos y la percusión que le dan un sello particular a su música.
La buena noticia es que vuelve a Lima, para presentarse en el escenario de Gótica el miércoles 20 de junio. El evento, llamado Mad Professor Conquista Perú, llega gracias a la productora Ska Town. Las entradas ya están a la venta en Tu Entrada.
Hasta el 20 de mayo costarán S/.60, después se venderán a S/.75. El dub hipnótico de Mad Professor está de vuelta y esta es una clase en la que hay que prestar atención.
